Since my own heart bends toward MORE, MORE, MORE I decided to ask around and glean some ideas from others and share my own on how to have a less materialistic Christmas.
It’s never a good time when you have a sick toddler. While you’re surviving, the days begin to blur into one another. Even the hours seem to just pass you by and at times you may feel so unaccomplished. After enough time has passed, your child is finally doing well and you think to yourself – I totally accomplished a ton! My kid is alive and well!
As my middle schooler progresses through life, I am learning as much about graceful failures as he is. One thing, as parents, that we have to embrace is the beauty of the productive struggle.
My boys are three years old and have an email account. No, it’s not what you think. They are not emailing their friends for play dates or signing up for the Lego newsletter.
As much as I loved our getaway I have to say, I understand why parents often say they need a vacation after a vacation.

That SAHM life
